What Makes Let’s Go Golf Different
🏌️♂️ Tournament Recap – Great Start to Summer!
We’ve had 3 awesome tournaments so far—Walsh, Hiawatha (18 Holes), and Coulee. Each one brought a great turnout, lots of smiles, and valuable learning.
📝 A few things we are working on as young competitors:
Always marking our balls on the green
When to speak up (and stay quiet)
Respecting each other’s turn & pace of play
Shaking hands and showing good sportsmanship
Everyone agreed Hiawatha was a tricky course, but these young golfers handled it like champs. 👏

📅 3 Tournaments Left: Still Time to Join Us!
Don’t miss out on the rest of the Let’s Go Golf Summer Series:
July 18: Walsh Golf Center - 9 Holes
July 23: River Run (Sparta) - 18 Holes
August 8: Coulee Golf Bowl - 9 Hole (most likely a 2 -Person Scramble!)
Each event is another chance to build skills, have fun, and compete in a low-pressure, supportive setting.
⛳ First Camp: June 26-27 - Looking for a few more kids to join us!
Looking for real growth in your young golfer’s game?
This is hands down the most they’ll learn all summer!
Our summer camps are built for beginner golfers ages 7–14 who are ready to build skills and gain confidence in a fun, encouraging environment.
We cover the fundamentals and make it fun:
Small group coaching lead by myself utilizing the proven U.S. Kids Golf Player Pathway System
Etiquette, scoring, knowledge of the game, course and clubs
Grip, stance, aim, proper swing mechanics for putting, chipping and full swing
Games, challenges, and confidence-building
Golfers may even get to play a hole or two together on the course (if ready and time allows!)
I’ve heard from several parents that some camps in the area can feel more like a social hour with volunteers and no real learning or structure. That’s not what we do.
We keep our groups small intentionally so your child will be engaged, active, and coached the entire time!
We had really great feedback from last year’s camp. Check out the website to see some quotes from parents!
Bonus Swag:
Every camper gets a Let’s Go Golf hat, water bottle, ball marker, rules & etiquette guide, Player Pathway pins and a whole lot of encouragement!
*We most likely will be changing to mornings on Friday at Coulee. I will contact any who signs up to confirm.

☀️ Summer Golf Tips
We’ve had a lot of great questions from parents lately, so instead of just one tip, here are four quick ways to support your young golfer this month:
1. Let Them Be the Coach
Ask your golfer to teach you something they learned—grip, rules, or a putting drill. It reinforces learning and boosts their confidence.
2. Pack the Golf Bag
A water bottle, snacks, and little note or treat can make all the difference when they need a reset mid-round!
3. Don’t Fix Everything at Once
Even with the best intentions, too many tips can overwhelm them. If you notice your kid struggling with their swing, focus on one tip at a time. Or let their coach lead and you focus on cheering them on.
4. Celebrate Golf Moments. Not Just Scores!
Ask them after every round what their favorite shot or moment was. You could even create a “golf wins” journal to log great shots and fun moments. They’ll remember those far more than any scorecard. This is what keeps them loving the game and coming back!
🏆 Other Tourney Opportunities Parents Have Asked About
If your golfer is ready for more competition or travel, here are a few great options:
📍 Wisconsin Junior PGA Events
🔗 WI Jr. PGA Tournaments Link
These are great tournaments for young competitors, but many are on the other side of the state. (This is actually why we started LGG, to give local kids a chance to compete without all the travel!)
📍 Drive, Chip & Putt Qualifiers
Fun and free! Local qualifiers are coming up soon. Many in this area will be attending the Eau Claire Qualifier on July 8th.
